Hello all!
Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been pretty busy recently. I have moved to Stoke-On-Trent and I have just started back at uni.
Speaking of uni, here are my final designs for our summer project. We had to design five pairs of characters that were opposite to one another. For my characters I decided that my idea would work better if they were all linked together, as well being paired off. Their personality traits were the opposing features, rather than the actual characters.
The pairs are:
- Victor the pig (depressive) & Derick the donkey (cheerful)
- Charles the cat (cunning) & Bruno the dog (warm hearted)
- Hazel the owl (shy) & Henifer the owl (Boisterous)
- Hernandez the bull (lazy) & Boris the pony (sporty)
- Roberta the cow (dippy) & Stanley the ram (intelligent)
My chosen pair to develop are Roberta and Stanley. I chose this particular pair because I thought that they would be the most interesting to animate. For me they differ in their designs more than the other pairs.
I also made two prototype models.
I'm happy with how they have turned out, but for the final models I would like them to be bigger. Both of these models are 3.5 - 4 inches high. Ideally the final models would be around 5 - 6 inches high. This would allow me to add more detail to the models, as I found working with models this size slightly fiddly. Also, the finals would have glass or plastic eyes, rather than using plasticine.
