Hello all!
Sorry for the lack of updates since March. I was busy with university deadlines, and since we broke up back in May I've been working a lot too.
So I have had my results back from this term; 2:1 for both Sculpture For Animation and Stop-Motion Pipeline, and a 2:2 for Film Analysis. I am very please with this! I didn't particularly enjoy Film Analysis if I am completely honest, so a 2:2 is good enough for me. I would like to graduate with at least a 2:1, but a first would be amazing to obtain.
Our Summer project is based on character design. We have to design five sets of two opposites, so ten in total. Two will be used in our work when we start second year. A five minute presentation will be done for this. We also have to do another five minute presentation based on a 30 second clip from an animation of our choice. The only must is that the characters cannot talk throughout the duration of the clip.
I've been easing myself into our Summer project by sculpting, and doing a few sketches; nothing great - but it gets me in the mind set.
This is the head of the daemon I have been sculpting. I have started work on the body, but it is no where near finished. I will keep you updated on the progress.
Here are the "doodles" that inspired my daemon.
Thanks for reading.
Suzanne
